It’s one of those, lonely evenings, when weird thoughts pop up in your mind. Today, for example, I’m thinking of those tourists who visit Crete only for adding one more destination to their list. Not a lot of them though, will get to know my own, unique Crete in the way I know and love it… with its special smell, its tastes, its people, its secret places only locals know..
Today, along with Michael, Martina and their daughter Marie we visited some secret places in the area of Amari! Gorgeous churches from Byzantine era in the olive groves, traditional cafes where we drunk our raki with the breathtaking view of the lake at Fragma potamon.Last but not least we ate the delicious, tasteful lamb slowly baked in the wooden oven at the Zeta’s taverns enjoying the impressive Psiloritis..
Have a look at the photos.
